This is not a social media place where everyone is yelling at each other in front of the world, but a small growing community of traders working to help each other in the markets.
Inside it I run educational sessions on the markets to help people understand what is happening in them better and to become more knowledgeable about how to navigate them.
I’ve been trading the markets now since the late 1990’s and co-managed a hedge fund from 2003-2006, so I have a lot of experience now having gone through multiple bull and bear cycles in different markets. There is a whole generation of people who got started in 2020 and were misled by bad information they got from apps, Reddit message boards, and crypto gurus that now feel lost. Millions of once active Robinhood accounts are now dormant and millions more lost everything they put into crypto. Many of these people are now giving up on the markets, but it doesn’t have to be that way for them if they just take the time to learn, get better, and then get back in the game.
They took a beating.
But they were not really equipped to win at the game.
There simply is not enough information on something like the Robinhood to make wise trading decisions.
Now they can change that.
Statistics show that only 10% of the people with brokerage accounts really beat the markets in a meaningful way. Half the people lose money even in bull markets and about 1/3 basically match the performance of the market. If you want to beat the markets you have to make that your goal. Just treating the markets like buying a lottery ticket and putting all your money into crypto or trying really risky trades and strategies is not the way to do it.
Let me repeat that – ONLY 10% OF PEOPLE REALLY OUTPERFORM THE MARKET AVERAGES.
All the promises of quick money and instant riches you have seen on social media are false.
This is a forum for people serious about beating the markets – not for people who just want to get attention on social media by acting like a troll or who want to gamble in garbage like virtual crypto coins.
