Pope Francis bid an emotional farewell to his predecessor, Benedict XVI, after his funeral in St. Peter’s Square Thursday. After the ceremony, people in the crowd cried “Saint now!” and some waved German and Bavarian flags. After the funeral ceremony, the coffin was taken back inside the basilica and encased in zinc before being sealed in a second wooden casket.
