Investment Conference Event - Mike Swanson (01/07/2013)

I just got back visiting Dave Skarica in the Bahamas. I took this video of the sunset off of his deck Saturday night. What is crazy is you can see both sides of the ocean from his house. So you can actually see the sun rise in the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean from his house.

Before going to Eleuthera I first stopped and met up with him in Nassau. We went down to the Atlantis Resort. Back in 2009 we did a conference there and had over 35 of our subscribers come and over a dozen more speakers and industry insiders. It was a good time and we were planning on doing it again this year in March at Atlantis.

That was the reason for my quick trip. But after going to Atlantis and then going to his place in Eleuthera - which is another island in the Bahamas we decided not to do the event in Atlantis and instead do it on his island next year - in March 2014.

There are a few reasons. First we have come to conclude that doing the event on Eleuthera will be a better experience for people. Atlantis just feels like any casino in the United States now and the whole area of Nassau is getting built up. We could just as easily do something in South Florida and Vegas. And really we aren't too excited with doing something like that. When you travel around the United States a lot and go to these casinos and hotels they all are just the same.

We want to give people a real travel experience. You know an idea is right when it gets you excited - and the idea of forgetting about Nassau and just doing the conference on Eleuthera got us both excited. However, we have one problem - we really don't have enough time left to do all of the planning to do it in March. So we decided to do it next year in March.

I told Dave it will be more fun anyway. Right now people are really anxious about the stock market. Gold is off of its highs and most people didn't do much in the market last year. We made some money in Europe, but most people were too scared to buy anything in Europe so just listened and watched.

We both think this year is going to be huge for the European markets and gold should also follow and start a new bull run too this year. If we're right than by the end of the year everyone in will be sitting on huge profits. So we started to think of a conference in 2014 not as a typical investment conference were you sit there and hear stuff about how to make money, but more of a celebration of the money we can make this year!

What would be more fun than to make a bunch of money in 2013 and then GO CELEBRATE in 2014 in a real Caribbean island? Now that's an exciting idea. We want to do our best to help you in these markets and then celebrate together in 2014.
